About Us

Saving Great Animals rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes dogs with an ethical and respectful approach of care, regardless of breed, health or behavior. We strive to provide an excellent experience for our fosters, volunteers and adopters and are dedicated to creating a community of responsible pet owners. We promise to make careful matches between dogs and adopters, to break the cycle of abandonment and ensure that dogs do not re-enter the shelter system. With more than 9,000 lovingly homed through our extensive foster network, SGA is proud of our team and community. We offer a unique rehabilitation program for dogs who are shut down or anxious and who require more intensive care prior to being adopted. Our rehabilitation facility engages our community of volunteers by partnering with them to help socialize dogs with special needs.
